What
can women do to resist the current system, which continues to threaten our
environment, our families and our lives? The hate and belligerence, which are
part of war, can only be stopped through the spirit of love and peace of women
who are well organised and seek international co-operation with others.
Equality, sharing things, sisterhood and brotherhood, and helping the oppressed
to achieve real democracy can only be realised by building a culture of peace.
To create peace on this earth, wealth must be shared out more fairly, and the
differences in race, background, class, religion, language, thinking and culture
must be seen as an enrichment of the world. Women are a force in the struggle
for peace. That's why it is important to develop an international strategy,
which will cover this entire universal subject.
In
this context the International Free Women's Foundation wants to organise a
meeting about our activities started in 2001 in conjunction with the women's
centre in Maxmur refugee camp, with the aim to create solidarity among women and
start an international dialogue among women with different nationalities.
