The foundation has the following aims and purposes:

1. The Foundation is named Internationale Vrije Vrouwen Stichting
     (International Free Women`s Foundation)

2. The Foundation is based in Rotterdam.

 

Aims and purposes
Article 2

1. The foundation has as its aims and purposes:

a. The IFWF observes the United Nations Treaty and the International Declaration of Human Rights and makes no differences on the basis of language, faith, nation, ethnic background or sex.

b. The IFWF strengthens the discussion amongst women and encourages

active participation of women in the live of society so that peace and

democracy, social justice, human rights, freedom and equality can be
guaranteed and extended.        

c. The IFWF creates opportunities to achieve that women can make use of modern technology and communication equipment.

d. The IFWF guarantees that, on the basis of freedom of thought and humanity, women can play an active part in the development of peace and democracy, and within this framework, in the promotion of  the development of social and peaceful relations.

e. The IFWF develops international relations and strives for international cooperation.

f. The IFWF struggles against all forms of militarism, fascism, nationalism and discrimination (including that between men and women), by taking peaceful solution of social questions as its basis.                                          

g. The IFWF encourages environment and nature protection, and guarantees that women can play their part in the development of natural living conditions, and that they can reject technologies which threaten the ecological and social balances in the world.

h. The IFWF strives for that, present and future technical possibilities will serve the humanity in the ecological and social fields.

i. The IFWF shows true solidarity with women who face unjust treatment as a result of wars or within the family. 

j. The IFWF stands up against every kind of violence against women (economical, social, sexual, psychological, physical, or any other kind of violence), and gives both material and moral support to women who are victims of violence.

k. The IFWF widely educates and encourages women to gain the possibility to become owners of their own labour, and to prepare and carry out projects within this framework.

l.  The IFWF defends the rights of children and struggles to ensure that, especially under war conditions, the forms of violence used against children by the system, society and the family are brought to an end.                                      

m. The IFWF guarantees and supports the natural and wide ranging development
of children.

n.  The IFWF builds up, develops and strengthens the solidarity between women and men on the basis of freedom and mutuality, instead of unequal relations which disadvantage women.                                     

o. The IFWF carries out research in different areas including history, economics, politics, technical developments, health and culture.

p. The IFWF initiates cooperation amongst women from different backgrounds and origin living in the Netherlands and organizes projects within this framework

q.  The IFWF supports and encourages institutions connected with the above in the widest sense possible, including working towards the establishment and preservation of institutions in scientific, cultural, social, economical fields and all other fields.

2. It is explicitly not the aim of the foundation to make a profit.

3. To achieve the aims of the foundation a number of institutions will be established
in scientific, cultural, social, economical fields.
